ACS Hillingdon : Parent Teacher Student Association

The Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is our school’s association of parents, teachers and administrators. The PTSA Board consists of several elected parent members. We hold General Meetings to discuss school wide issues and everyone is welcome to attend. The dates for these meetings are posted in the school and the PTSA calendars. The PTSA Board also holds monthly Executive Board meetings where Board business and issues are discussed in detail. The PTSA also hosts regular Parent Information Meetings (PIMs) for each division of the school. These meetings give parents the opportunity to discuss issues specific to their child(ren)’s division directly with the principal of the division.

The PTSA is involved in organizing many activities and events at Hillingdon including Coffee Mornings, Holiday Treats, Staff Appreciation Lunch, and Family Fun Day, just to name a few. To help enrolled families stay up to date, we periodically publish an on-line newsletter, Hawk Talk On-Line, which is sent out via email.

To promote cultural awareness and understanding, the PTSA has a Multicultural Committee. This group shares friendship, ideas, and cultural experiences between the more than 40 countries represented at our school.

The Welcome Team is another vital part of the PTSA, offering assistance to new families adjusting to life in Britain and at our school. The Welcome Team organizes welcome picnics, coffees, and parent volunteers to help ease your transition.

Our school is a wonderful mixture of diverse cultures and backgrounds, providing students and their families with exciting opportunities to grow and learn on a global scale. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions to enhance the family atmosphere of our school.
