English
as an Additional Language (EAL) |
 |
1st to 10th Grades
- EAL teachers work closely with non-native English-speaking
students in the classroom, and one-on-one or in small groups
outside the classroom, to support their speaking, listening,
reading, and writing needs.
- In 9th to 10th Grades, EAL students participate in specially
designed EAL transition English, social studies, and science
classes to strengthen their English skills with the goal to
mainstream them into the High School curriculum as quickly as
possible.
- The High School does not offer an EAL programme for beginners.
Students in 11th and 12th Grades are required to have strong
English skills to enrol at ACS Hillingdon.
