  School Fees 2010/2011 – ACS Cobham International School

Registration & Deposit

A registration fee of £150 must accompany each application form. This non-refundable fee covers all administrative work involved in processing an application.

A non-refundable deposit of £1,000 for day students, or £2,000 for boarding students, must be received after a student has been accepted and before a place can be confirmed. A deposit of £2,000 is required for day students when the period between the date of acceptance and the student's stat date is 20 days or less. The deposit is applied towards the second semester tuition charges.

Payment methods
For convenience ACS now accepts the following debit and credit cards for payment of Registration and Deposit fees.

In addition,we also accept Registration & Deposit payment by cash, cheque and direct bank transfer. For further information and/or to arrange any othermethod of payment, please contact the School’s
Admissions office.

School fees

Payment of school fees can bemade by any of the following methods:

  • Sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank account
  • Sterling cheque drawn on a foreign bank account
  • US Dollar cheque drawn on an American bank account
  • Direct payment (i.e. BACS, wire transfer, etc)
  • Any of the debit or credit cards shown above

Please note that payments by credit card are subject to a 2.5% handling charge. Also any bank charges incurred by other payment methods will be debited to your child’s school fees account and further
payment will be required to settle such charges.

Debentures

A parent or guardian of each student in Grades K-13 is required to subscribe for a debenture of £250 in each of the first two semesters of attendance. The debentures are intended to provide the School with capital to helpmeet the cost of the ongoing improvement of the School’s overall programme.

Day tuition

The tuition fees, per semester (two semesters) are as follows and include the loan of textbooks, laboratory fees, classroommaterials and curriculumrelated school field trips that take place within a single day.

Overnight field trips are part of the curriculumand the costs are in addition to the school fees. There is one extended field trip per grade level (grades 4-9),with an expected cost varying between £200-£600 depending on the trip. Invoiceswill be issued to families prior to the trip.

Boarding fees (ACS Cobham only)

7 - day boarders, per semester (two semesters)
Grades 7 - 13 : £7,440
Includes: room and board, weekend activity fee and autumn break holiday trip.

5 - day boarders, per semester (two semesters)
Grades 7 - 13 : £5,435
Includes: room and board, and an option to remain on campus for five weekends per semester without additional charge.

Tuition fees are additional to boarding fees.

 

Bus service

The fees for bus service (per student, per semester) are as follows:

Door-to-door service (single) £755   (return) £1,160


There is a reduction in the door-to-door charge for siblings, when two or more are collected at the same house:

Invoices

Invoices for the 2010/2011 academic year will be issued and due on the following dates:

1st Semester Invoice issue date 7th June 2010
1st Semester Invoice due date 28th June 2010
2nd Semester Invoice issue date 5th November 2010
2nd Semester Invoice due date 19th November 2010

Text books

A set of textbooks is loaned to each student. At the end of the year, or earlier for transferring students, the books must be returned in the condition in which they were issued, allowance being made for fair wear and tear.

A charge will be made for textbooks/library books lost or damaged beyond the accepted standard.
