English
as an Additional Language (EAL) |
 |
1st to 10th Grades
- EAL teachers work closely with non-native English-speaking
students in the classroom, and one-on-one or in small groups
outside the classroom, to support their speaking, listening,
reading and writing needs.
- In 9th and 10th Grades, EAL students participate in specially-designed
EAL transition English, social studies, and science classes
to strength their English skills with the goal to mainstream
them into the High School curriculum as quickly as possible.
The High School does not offer an EAL programme for beginners.
- Students in 11th and 12th Grades are required to have strong
English skills in order to enrol at ACS Cobham.
