High School Drama
In their latest unit of drama, a number of activities, resources and structures were used to demonstrate how students can acquire an explicit understanding of the way in which elements of form are used to generate dramatic tension and irony. Students then focused on Greek tragedy and the devices it employs to heighten tension for the audience. They continued to use these parameters to create their own theatre pieces with a subject matter of their choice. The following are ewxcerpts from the student's performance diaries.
