On Friday, August 31st, 2007, we had a LEGO presentation by an architect. He told us how over-lapping bricks made the walls stronger, and how to make supports for the roof tiles. After that, we got to make our own lego houses. Then, he talked to us some more about construction, and we had the option of changing our buildings into other buildings, such as police/fire stations, zoos, etc.
To help us do that, Mrs. Wakefield and the architect from Youngtown Planners asked us to give them examples of buildings inside the city and out in the country. This helped everybody. Mrs. Wakefield also reminded us about a very important item: HOUSES!!!!
The LEGO presentation lasted from 1st period to lunch time. The saddest part was when we had to break it all up. My partner was Joey. We built a 2-story house. Then, we converted it into a police station. After everybody finished building their buildings, we made a whole LEGO CITY. The Lego building was so very fun, it was like it wasn't even school. Now I know how much LEGO to get to build my own LEGO city!
