During the weekend of February 2nd to 4th the Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball teams travelled to Vienna, Austria to play games against The American International School in Vienna and Budapest International School.

On Friday evening all of our four travelling teams were in action. Both varsity teams lost, the boys by 54 to 29 and the girls by 46 to 27. The JV Boys also lost 40 to 29. The JV Girls won 14-6.

On Saturday we again played AIS Vienna with all of our teams losing their morning games.

During the afternoon our teams played Budapest with impressive results. The JV Girls won 13-8, JV Boys lost 42-28. Our Varsity Girls won 42-22 and Varsity boys won 46-39.

All of our teams competed well during the weekend and great progress was evident as the teams improved their performance.

Following the games on Saturday the teams were driven into Vienna where they spent a short while sightseeing before being taken to TGIFs for a team dinner.

On Sunday morning the teams were taken to the wonderful Schonbrunn Palace where they had the opportunity of an audio linked tour.

As ever it was a pleasure to take away the basketball teams who were a credit to the school. Our thanks go to the host families in Vienna.
