Over the last three days we stayed in York also know as Caer Ebrac (Celt name), Eboracum (Roman name), and Eoforic (Anglo Saxon name). During the trip we went to the Yorkshire museum, Brigantium, Jorvik centre, Archaeological research centre and we had a tour of York Minister.
For lodging we stayed at the race course centre.
My favourite activity was either the night walk were a guide told us ghost stories and led us around York or the Jorvik centre because there was a Viking who told us about life in his time. At one point the Viking put chain mail on my hand and drew his dagger three times across it without harming me.
All the activities were very fun.
One day we spent the day being a Roman at Brigantium. There we had four goals to become a trained Roman warrior, guard the fort, make an oil lamp and make a map of the fort. My favourite job was making the oil lamp because we made with the same materials as the Romans and go to design it and take it home. I enjoyed this day and hope next years sixth grade do to.
Overall I enjoyed this trip very much. Every day opened a new and exciting adventure.
I had great roommates and spent a lot of time with my friends. I hope next years sixth grade enjoy as much as I did.
