Here are some snapshots from our trip to Austria, Zell am Zee. We stayed at the fabulous Daxer Hotel located 100 m from the skislopes (100 m is far enough at the end of the day). Hotel Daxer serves a three meal course every evening, has a pool and sauna for aching limbs, and thanks to Mikael we could watch DVD’s in the pool room in the evenings. After going on a horse sled in the rain one evening we decided that watching DVD’s was a good evening activity. Going tobogganing down the mountainside in the dark beats the movies though!
The kids were sorted into ski groups by ability and had lessons all through the day. The advanced group travelled all over the mountain. The beginners stayed in the bunny slope for the first couple of days but by the end of the week they were with us at the top of the mountain. On the penultimate day we had races for each group.
The big group photo was taken up top on the last day. We never had any trouble with lights out in the evening - skiing does take its toll, that is for sure.
The last picture is from one of the immaculate rooms that we inspected during the week. Hopefully the students have continued with this by folding their clothes neatly at night.
Thank you to all kids and chaperones for making it such a pleasurable trip. We hope to see you again next year,
Åsa, Natalie, Lisette, Bill and Gian-Paolo
