Congratulations to Sarah Carr, who as a 17 year old Sophomore recently had an art piece displayed at the Tate in Liverpool. From her first year in art class with Mr Irvani, you could already see the talent emerging.
The work in question was based on the theme ‘reality dreams’. The piece was done in pencil while most others chose to do it in charcoal. It was thought up on the spot and took about two weeks to create. The piece describes a ‘length of dream’. With a hallway going into the distance, with one side mirrors and another doors. There is a boy holding a lamp walking out of a door and into a dream world. It intentionally has a split personality shown with he mirrors and doors. This ‘dream' piece was chosen out of hundreds of others, and goes to prove that great talent does get recognised... at the highest levels.
