Last Autumn, I had the privilege to meet up with award-winning members of the illustrious International Youth Foundation (IYF), who were attending an annual conference hosted by the ACS Cobham campus.
These exceptional young adults have been singled out for special praise by the Foundation for ground-breaking charity work undertaken in their own countries. Holding a special 'Question Time' session with ACS students from all three campuses (Cobham, Egham, and Hillingdon) we all had a rare opportunity to learn first hand about the 'ambitions' and projects of these young and talented men and women.
Offering further opportunity 'mingle', a dinner was organised that same evening to celebrate the IYF members coming. The following day, inbetween workshops and meetings, ACS held a felicitous lunch for the IYF members, our Student Council and those students either involved with the 'Question Time' event, or like myself, the interviewing of IYF winners.
Overall, ACS must take a big round of applause for hosting this great event, initiating a new partnership, and for giving us students a once in a lifetime opportunity to rub shoulders with these modern day leaders.
