Why I joined ACS
I was looking for an opportunity to develop professionally in an international environment that endorsed inquiry learning within the curriculum. I found all this in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme at ACS Egham, one of only a few schools in the UK to offer all three IB programmes.
What I most love about working here
The opportunities for growth, and the support that my mentors have given me in reaching my full professional potential. The school and I also share the same educational vision. I feel passionately about teaching and learning through inquiry and IT and I am given many opportunities to share and progress this with the faculty through presentations, workshops and in curriculum integration.
The reason ACS is special
It has assembled a wonderful group of educators from around the world, each contributing so many different experiences and skills that ultimately enhance the delivery of the curriculum.
My favourite part of living in the UK
Being able to travel around Europe. For example, 9 of us from ACS Egham recently went on holiday to Greece…not something easily done from NZ. The UK is central to everywhere, it is a super location and I absolutely love London – a bustling city full of history, culture and great times.
