Q: How do I apply online?
A: Simply click on the Vacancies button in the menu bar, select the category and position that interests you, then if you meet the qualifications and experience required, complete the online application..
Q: How do I submit my CV/Resume?
A: At a certain point in the online application form, you will have the opportunity to attach your CV electronically via a web browser, so make sure you have it ready. Please note that the preferred file types are:
Word (.doc)
Acrobat (.pdf)
Q: Can I apply for more than one position?
A: Yes. If you meet the qualifications and experience necessary for each position then you may apply for more than one position by completing an individual application form for each. However, there is no need to fully complete any subsequent application form as our system will recognise that you have previously applied – nevertheless, please ensure that you complete all mandatory fields.
Additionally, on your application you will be asked to indicate if there are other positions of interest to you and our recruiters will consider you accordingly.
Q: Do I need to answer all of the questions on the application form?
A: No. You must, however, complete all the mandatory fields. Remember, the more information you can provide on your application, the easier it will be for recruiters and hiring managers to evaluate your qualifications for their positions.
Q: When will I receive a response to my application?
A: Immediately. An acknowledgement email from the ACS recruitment team will let you know that your application has been received and is under review.
Q: How will I know if my application has been successful?
A: If you are selected for an interview, a member of our recruitment team will contact you. If you are not contacted within six months from your application, then we regret that your application has not been successful. However, if this is the case, you can still re-apply after this time.
Q: Can I make changes to the information I have submitted?
A: Yes. You can save your application and complete it or make changes over several sittings before the closing date. You can also attach information which you feel supports your application. Do not forget your login details.
Q: On what basis do you make your selection?
A: Candidates are screened and short listed on the basis of the job requirements, such as the level of qualifications and experience related to the position they are applying for. If you are successful, a member of our recruitment team will contact you to arrange an interview for further selection. This is also an opportunity for you to ask any additional questions you may have regarding the position.
Q: How long will my application be kept on the database?
A: Your details will be kept on our files for 1 year.
Q: What if I forget my password or username while completing an application?
A: Unfortunately if you have not completed your application, you will have to register new details.
Q: Once I submit my application, can I contact the hiring manager or a recruiter?
A: Due to the number of applications we receive it is not possible to talk to the hiring manager or recruiter at this stage. However, once your application is submitted for a job, recruiters can search the database and may contact you to discuss your interest and next steps if your qualifications match the job posting.
Q: What happens to my application form once I have applied?
A: It will be reviewed by a recruiter who will determine if you have the skills and qualifications we are looking for. If you are selected, notification will be by phone, email, or mail.

Q: Where do you advertise job vacancies?
A: All our vacancies are advertised on this site, additionally in the local, regional or national press/publications, according to the type of job. We also visit teacher Recruitment Fairs click here for more information.
Q: Can I get a copy of the job description and/or person specification?
A: Yes, you can view them on our vacancy pages.
Q: If I want to know more about the job, who do I contact?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate direct questions during the submission stage of the application process.
Q: I’ve completed my application form but I did not get invited for an interview. What do I do now?
A: If you have applied for a Current Vacancy, you will be notified that you were unsuccessful on this occasion. Your details, if deemed suitable, will be kept on our database for 1 year.
Q: I’ve been asked on the application form to give names and addresses of two referees. Why does this happen and will it affect my position with my current employers?
A: An offer of employment is subject to satisfactory references but your consent will be requested before they are approached.
