  Annual benefits allowance

Private Medical

All staff benefit from private medical cover which is deducted from the benefits allowance.  ACS wants to ensure that health issues are dealt with as a matter of urgency and ensure a smooth transition back to work.    However our current agreement covers pre-existing medical conditions, which makes this a particularly attractive benefit.

Please note: that the UK also has a National Health Service (NHS), which offers a greatly superior service to many other countries.  This is used by the majority of the UK population and is also available to ACS employees on registering with a local doctor.  This is a free service although there are minimal costs for prescriptions, medications and some treatments.  This complements the Private Medical benefit and is useful for minor treatments and day-to-day medical complaints.

 

Remaining Allowance Options

Home Leave

This is only for non-UK nationals for the first 5 years they are resident in the UK.
Remaining annual allowance can be spent each year, tax free, on return flights to your relocating/home country. Any unused allowance will be paid into salary and will then be liable to tax deductions.

Cash Payment

You can select to receive your remaining benefit entitlement as a Cash Payment which will be subject to tax deductions.

Pension PAYMENT

You may join a UK based pension scheme as specified and have your benefit entitlement paid directly. For further Pensions details please see the Contributory Pension Scheme link in the Benefits listing.
