Mission Statement
With its prime East Coast location, the ACS International
Schools North American Office extends our Western Hemisphere office
hours five hours beyond Greenwich Mean Time. This time zone advantage
provides US-based families and companies the option of last-minute
requests for information, and also very timely fulfilment
of brochure mailings.
ACS International Schools actively participates in the global
mobility industry, and is a sustaining, and in some cases board-level
member of leading organisations such as the:
- National Foreign Trade Council
- Society for Human Resource Management's Global Forum
- British-American Business Council
- Families in Global Transition
- Employee Relocation Council
- Parents League of New York
- Canadian Employee Relocation Council
- Independent Educational Consultants Association
Our reach extends across the US and Canada with an active
annual travel schedule placing ACS representatives regularly in nearby
Washington, DC, as well as New York, Boston, Houston, Dallas,
Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Canadian
stops include Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Calgary.
During these regional visits, ACS meets with prospective parents,
their children, and key international human resources
and relocation professionals, educating them about our three-campus
school system, its impressive academic offerings, and the extraordinary
support we offer families in transition. Other regional events
have included ACS Alumni & Friends Association gatherings,
fundraisers for ACS Foundation-supported programmes, and presentations
at global mobility conferences.
ACS actively recruits experienced and academically highly-qualified teachers
from North America and around the globe. Our own teacher
recruitment event is hosted at our Baltimore office each Spring. An
active travel schedule means we can also pre-screen candidates
in their hometowns and sometimes visit them in their schools and
classrooms.
Within 15 miles of Baltimore-Washington International Airport
(BWI), the ACS North American Office welcomes visitors year round.
Its Inner Harbour location includes over 100 dinning options and
family friendly attractions such as the world class National Aquarium
at Baltimore, and the Maryland Science Center.
We are here to help all ACS prospective families, their sponsoring
companies, our Foundation's partners, prospective teachers, and
Alumni & Friends residing throughout the Americas.
We hope to hear from you in the near future, and look forward
to discussing what ACS can offer you and your family.
