Field trips, extracurricular activities, and visiting artists
Activities and field trips incorporate London, the UK, and Europe
into the classroom. While each campus has separate programmes for
field trips, extracurricular activities, and visiting artists,
the following is meant as a representative list and includes Lower,
Middle and High School options.
Representative curriculum-based field trips: Romans in Bath,
interactive English and Shakespeare in Stratford, Model United
Nations in Beijing, English and drama trips to Shakespeare’s
Globe and other London theatres, social studies trip to Florence
and Ypres, Environmental Centre at Nettlecombe Court, foreign
language experience in Europa House.
Representative after school clubs and activities: Boy and Girl
Scouts and Guides, bowling, chess, cookery, crafts, creative writing,
games, golf, horseback riding, newspaper, science, sign language,
website, yearbook or yoga clubs; touch typing or safe sitter programs;
National Honor Society; math team.
Recent visiting artists: Golden Egg Pantomime Productions, Tango
Group, Science Air Presentation, Math Circus, Black Cat Puppetry
Productions, Random Dance from Sadler’s Wells, storytellers
Marc Levitt and Courtney Campbell, authors Acton Kaye and Colin
Hawkins, professional filmmaker Keith Farr.
Community service activities: Service trips to Namibia, Zambia,
and India; the Duke of Edinbugh Award Scheme, the Elmbridge Mayor’s
Trust; DUCK (Developing Understanding and Caring in Kids) week.
