On Wednesday 10th October, students, staff and parents at ACS Hillingdon marked the 40th anniversary of ACS International Schools with a special day of celebrations.
School Assembly
The day started with a student-led, whole-school, assembly on the theme of sustainability and caring for the environment.

Planting rose bushes
This was followed at lunch time with the planting of 10 rose bushes by Lower, Middle and High School students. This was part of the 40 plantings across the three ACS campuses to mark the organisation’s commitment to a more sustainable environment.

Cleaning the River Colne
Later in the afternoon, students, parents and staff headed down to the River Colne to help clean up a stretch of the local waterway. ACS Hillingdon is now working with the charity Thames 21 to try to adopt the stretch of river to ensure that it permanently kept at a high standard of cleanliness.
